SketchuRATE Tutorial Part 3

1. When you select the Export .PRO file menu item, SketchuRATE does a few more checks to see if there any other errors in the model. If you get an error message, have a look at the Documentation page to find out what it means, and what to do about it. 
2. Hopefully, you don't get any error messages. In which case, a dialog box will appear advising the following:
   • This will model deduct 1 conversions from your account. Proceed?
3. SketchuRATE charges on a per conversion basis for each model you wish to export to AccuRATE. Click Ok to proceed.
4. Another dialog box will appear where you need to type in your username and password for your ODS account. If you don't have an ODS user account yet, you can create one here. You also get 5 free conversion when you create a new user account! Mac Workaround: On the Mac version of SketchUp, the username and password fields appear black, making it very difficult to see what you are typing. Try this link here to upload convert your SketchuRATE model on the ODS website instead of through SketchUp.
5. After you type in your username and password, you then need to upload the XML file to convert - this file is created auto-magically by SketchuRATE from your model. Click the Choose File button - the XML file will be located in the same folder as your SketchUp model, and will have the same name but with .xml on the end. Click Open.
6. The final thing to do is to click the Convert button! This starts the conversion process, and when ready you will be prompted to save the .PRO file onto your computer. Choose and name and location, and then click Save. Mac Workaround: On the Mac version of SketchUp, the Convert dialog box doesn't always work. Try this link here to upload convert your SketchuRATE model on the ODS website instead of through SketchUp.
7. That's it! Open the .PRO file in AccuRATE, and you will see that most of the information for your model is already entered into the AccuRATE file. Remember you will need to complete the following:
   
   • Project Information page
   • Select and assign construction elements
   • Assign Zone types and settings
   • External screens, wing walls and shading
   • Complete Ventilation and information details
